Thanks, a lot!
im having the same problem, i just recently upgraded and it’s all just blank blue, no “follow me’ or icon or anything..
i deleted and reinstalled the plug in but still nothing..my website is hotlinked to my name if u wanna see..
could you please try and fix this up? because i was happy with how it was before and all i did was upgrade and it just shrivelled to nothing =\
Really like this plugin. Great work!
One question though: I wanna use the swedish letters å,ä and ö. Any ideas how I can make this work?
Thanks!
I modified the Plugin to be able to have two buttons – one for twitter and one for facebook.
You can see it in action on http://photo-video-online.com/en/ and if you like it you can download it under as it is – I cann’t give any support.
@admin of course you can use the code and integrate it in your plugin.
This is a very cool plug in. THank you. Say, is there a way to make the plugin open twitter in a new page. I looked at the main php file and beleive I know where to put that code, but I am not a genius at this so I wonder if someone could write the line of code with that target=”new” language.
I do not want my site left on click of the badge as I want the visitors back after twitter visit. Make sense.
Dave
Sehr schönes Twitter Plugin ist nicht so aufdringlich macht sich gut auf der rechten Seite.
Danke Tom
Lets see it
Thanks for this Plugins, works for me very well..
How do I delete this plugin from wordpress? I want to delete it since it doesn’t redirect to twitter but to facebook and another website as well? Thank you in advance for your reply.
Cancel last – works after upgrade to 2.8.6
When I 1st looked at it on the homepage it didn’t work. It was just a solid color with no follow me. When I changed the color to something different I could then see the follow me letters. Weird.
Now that it is working I have got to say that this plugin looks awesome. Thanks. 🙂
I’ve been trying to compbine the CSS for this plugin with my main style.css and am having trouble…Any suggestions?
I see it the .php calls for the style sheet twice. I know i’m missing something simple any help would be great 🙂
ohh… I’m using version 1.04 🙂 I like it better 🙂
Thanks alot this is really a very good plugin….!
Thanks for sharing
Just the plugin I was looking for, great job! thanks 🙂
i’ll try…
Its an alright update. I enjoyed the css file from the previous version.
The only problem I’m finding now is that I don’t have control over the z-index attribute.
My add-on is getting hid by some of my web page features, too many to go through and find the highest z-indexed divides.
More control over style attributes or the option to in the future would be great.
thanx
How do I change the URL that the follow me button is dorected to?
Just installed this plugin & noticed you included my Twitter bird cartoon character as one of the icon options — nice!
nice plugin, valid xhtml and my fav bird is also available, thks
I have it installed, but since installing the plugin I have changed the name on the twitter account. Where in the plugin can I change to the new Twitter URL?
I clicked EDIT, but where is the Twitter URL located in the wp-followme/followme.php?
Thanks.
I have the same question as the person who says:
How do I change the URL that the follow me button is directed to.
I cannot see your response to his question
For all who don’t know how to edit the twitter url :
On the left side of admin panel, under Settings tab is a link – WP FollowMe
Click it and you will see the settings page.
Great plug-in. I’m actually using Andreas’ version, but am using the second link it to connect to my linkedin account instead of FB. Would be great to have an option in the plug-in to set how many links you want. thx!!
This weblog looks great. you guys been using ?
Hi, just upgraded to the latest version and the icon has disappeared totally from the front page. Did I do something wrong? 🙂
I love this bird : ) Thanks!!
hello i am going to use this plugin but it will not look well in IE6 , it is shown at bottom side plz tell me solution
I am using the two tab version. The issue I have is the one where it only display solid colors on the tabs on the main page. I have an .swf on the same page but they do not overlap. How can I fix this so that the tabs will display correctly?
addt’l info: wp version is 2.8 firefox is 3.5.5
It’s not working in firefox and I don’t think is because of my blog theme.
So lets see if this works
Thanks for the plugin I installed it on my site and its working good. Do made some plugin for orkut and facebook too or say one plugin for orkut, facebook and tweeter.
Great idea for a plugin. Seems to work 80% of the time however I sometimes get the flash error on Chrome and Firefox.
Also, I just re-activated WPTouch theme (for mobile users) and it is showing up on that theme as well (and looks really bad). Is there a way to ensure compatibility with that? Just browse my site on an iPhone and you will see what I’m talking about.
Thanks,
HTD
I’m trying to move the Follow Me tab to be at the bottom of the page. I’ve tried a number of ways to do this. Having no luck. Can anyone help? tx
I had to disable the plugin due to some other incompatibilities. Hopefully a new version will be released soon.
I would also like to see this for Facebook if that is something that you might consider. Love it!
I am building a site.
Your plugin works on my site with firefox, and safari, but IE 6 seems to have major issues with your plugin installed.
The entire text scrolls up, instead of the text remaining fixed and the background scrolling down.
I was using your most recent version.
Thanks,
Josh
TNX!!! 🙂
Thank you for your Great Job 🙂
I’m wondering if you would planned to add some new features
Coz now the badge is a SWF; It will be usefull if we can track each badge click with google analytics 😉
Thx again
Hi,
Fist off, thanks for the great work! WP FollowMe plugin is Great. 🙂
Just a heads up – the plugin doesn’t display on IE 8.0.76 (64bit). I think it’s a problem with Flash though – not you guys…. any chance to support graceful degradation for the iphone users and IE 8 64 bit users?
Thanks!!!
Wow.. I just want to say thank you very much for great plugin, I already installed in my blog and it work well.. thanks..
This plugin annoys my as a visitor to any website using it. It covers essential content, has no way of being dispatched, and in general leaves the visitor feeling objectified … which I suppose is the point.
If you want WP FollowMe centered vertically on your screen (instead of 200 or user defined pixels from the top), open the file “wp-followme/followme.php” and change “top:px;” to “top:50%; margin-top:-80px;”.
I have this plugin on my blog….and noticed that this does not work on Mozilla…this may already be known, but I thought I would mention it anyway. It is not just my blog either, becuase it also is not working on this site.
It does, however, work on Google’s Chrome……
@Dave, what version of Mozilla ?
For those who have problems with this plugin in IE6, I know about this issue and I will try to fix it in next version.
Also I plan to make this plugin compatible with iPhone.
Hey,
First of all, thanks for this great plug in:-)
One question: “Follow me” is only displaying on the posts of our site but not on the main page…is there a configuration some where for this?
Thanks,
Omer
Check index.php file of your theme, is there any function called wp_footer() ?
If not add < ?php get_footer(); ?> on the bottom of index.php page.
Very nice, works perfectly, no probs at all!
Ta!
Works great for me, no problems at all.
Thanks!
I’m finding installing this very frustrating. Specifically, what does this step mean? Where is “wp-content/plugins”?? I can’t find it.
•Copy the wp-followme folder to wp-content/plugins
It’s not frustrating, is very easy.
Is just like any other wordpress plugin.
You can install it from the wordpress plugin installer page (under the Plugins tab on your wordpress admin panel is the Add new link).Just go to that page and write “WP FollowMe” on the search field and hit enter.
From there just click the Install link, that’s it !
